When Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters releasing next year, the cosmic big bad Josh Brolin as Thanos will wreak havoc for the heroes when he comes to earth in his hunt for the Infinity Stones. Thanos is taking things to the next level.
Thanos actor Josh Brolin doesn’t mind if fans hate him after seeing his character clash with the Avengers in the upcoming superhero epic, Avenger: Infinity War.
The character will take on Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man. Aided by his children, Black Order, Thanos will be presented to fans as “Darth Vader for a new generation”. That havoc might just very mean bad things for the heroes. A position that Brolin recognizes could make him pretty unpopular with fans.
In a recent interview, Brolin opened up about his role as the purple alien menace. Brolin revealed that he has a good feeling about Thanos being a wholly realized and complex villain. That puts a much lot of pressure on the actor who has also suited up as another major Marvel player in Deadpool 2.
“I can’t tell you definitively, but how I feel right now and what I’ve spoken to the Russos about and Feige, absolutely,” Brolin said. “It actually much more than pulls off, and I think what they’re coming up with based on what I’ve done, I think is next level.”
Josh Brolin Says Thanos Is Next Level in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’
Brolin talked about how fans might react to his performance as the Mad Titan, as well as the actions of his character. Josh said that working with the Russos and playing Thanos is one of the greatest experiences he’s ever had. Brolin is all for it as long as the movie is great.
“I’m in a position just personally where not everybody loves me and that’s okay (laughs),” Brolin said. An if fans end up hating?
If Brolin’s Thanos is anything much like his comic book counterpart. It’s very easy to guess why the actor might think that fans may hate him after the movie.
Upon obtaining all of the Infinity Gems in Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos cold-bloodedly wiped out half of the entire universe. As a demonstration of his power that he hoped would win the heart of Mistress Death. This single action made Thanos one of the most infamous murderer in the history of the Marvel Universe.
“I don’t know how I could be anything but happy,” Brolin said. “If everybody hates me at the end of it, I don’t know, will it be worth it if it’s a great movie? Maybe.”
And if destroying half of the universe wasn’t enough, Thanos personally killed his own father, She-Hulk, War Machine, Adam Warlock, his adopted daughter Gamora and other beloved Marvel icons. Considering the scale of Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos needs to be next level. If Thanos kills off any major MCU favorites in Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos may indeed wind up hated by fans.
The film will see the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, the Avengers, to join forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy. To deal with the threat of the Mad Titan who is very much determined to complete the Infinity Gauntlet and wreak complete havoc on the universe.
Fans will get to see – and also possibly hate – Brolin’s next level Thanos when Avengers: Infinity War opens on May 4, 2018.
